A bird's message (journal entry)

I heard a bird when I passed by the dining area this afternoon. I looked for the sound because it was louder than the usual bird songs I hear, then I found it perched on our gate in the terrace—a stunning bird with green and yellow feathers, a curved beak, and a parrot-like feature. I was cooking instant yakisoba, so I checked the boiling cabbage for a second but when I came back to look at the bird, it was gone. I began thinking what it might probably mean, then I came to an idea that the bird dropped by to give me a message (like a messenger). What the message was, I’m not sure. It probably means a start of something new—a new idea, venture, place—but whatever it is, it’s like giving me a heads up that something’s going to happen and I should be ready to face it.

Lively puppies, a cheerful baby, dying cats. These were the objects in my dreams for the past few nights. They were so vivid it felt real. It’s always raining at night nowadays; it makes me want to sleep more (and wake up late). A quick Google search says puppies and a baby in dreams symbolize a new beginning, while cats dying symbolize endings and transitions. The Universe keeps giving me these signs, probably to catch my attention, to prepare me for the big changes that lie ahead. “It’s so loud you can’t miss it,” she probably says. “And once you’ve found it, you’ll know it’s for you.”

Blessings? Hm, I hope so. I’m claiming it, just like the message the bird has left me. Just for me.
