The kind of tired no one else knows (journal entry)

Maybe the problem isn't about not sharing one's problem to you.
Maybe that person tries to talk about it but fails; and when she got the chance, you weren't listening. Maybe you fail to notice how she's trying; or when she gives the little hints, you disregard them and force your way instead. Pay close attention to the person. Help them figure out how they can better express themselves. It's hard when people have to deal with themselves first before dealing with everybody else.

When somebody tells you she's tired, understand that it may not be the kind of tired that can only be washed away by sleep; it may be that her whole being is tired and no one else knows.

It is when I get to figure things out that I feel better about myself.
